iWiccle CMS Community Builder 1.10 - Click to Enlarge

A new version of iWiccle CMS Community Builder is now available for download! Bringing you countless code improvements, dozens of bug fixes, some problem-preventive measures and most of all useful new features, we are determined to turn iWiccle into your favorite Web 2.0 multi-purpose application suite.

An upgrade script will be available in the course of Saturday for users of iWiccle 1.01 who are already set with their systems. If you haven't built your iWiccle into anything critical yet, we recommend a clean install, though we'll give you a checklist to ensure you get to keep your customizations but get rid of yesterday bugs. The online demo will be updated tomorrow.

What's New?

New and improved features will be explored in more detail in Staff Blogs over the days to come. Here's a recap of some of the more interesting features that went into version 1.10:

  • New style: Six easy-to-edit color variants if you ever got bored with the default color. Blue, Green, Red, Orange, Gray and Black.
  • Community features: Message Wall and Status Box, both familiar features from social networking sites. AJAX, as usual.
  • Tracking features: Track updates and receive notifications whenever your favorite blogs or categories are updated, or when a post receives a comment. Options for auto-expiring favorites and alternative notification means.
  • Improved mail features: SMTP and PHP mail are now both supported, making iWiccle fit seamlessly into a Windows environment.
  • Convenience: Secure auto-login with configurable login expiration. Stay logged in for as long as you want!
  • Better stability: Bugs and gremlins have taken a hike (knock knock), making the system better than ever. Please keep reporting any problems you may encounter.
  • Improved directory-style Smart URLs for search-engine (and eye) friendly URLs.

We have a long list of features that are scheduled for future releases, and our Fusion Community members do their best to make sure we don't run out of new ideas anytime soon. Download iWiccle 1.10 now and see for yourself what the hubbub is all about!

Until we get our live demo updated, here's a sneak peek (sporting the sexy pink style) of iWiccle 1.10 coming to life. As the URL tells, it's one of the temporary test installs I did before packing it up for download, so never mind registering there (unless your fingers are burning).
