October Wiccle Roadmap - Click to Enlarge

October has come, and it's time we laid open the plans on everything that's been brewing behind the scenes ever since the release of iWiccle 1.11 a bit over a month ago. It's been quiet on the surface, as we've been observing the compulsory silence before the storm.

Ladies and gentlemen: We're about to break silence to raise a storm to blow hats off half the Internet! In the course of October, you will see three major milestones reached:

  • Wiccle Web Builder 1.0 scheduled for release on October 12th
  • iWiccle CMS Community Builder 1.20 available by Halloween

iWiccle 1.20 ready for Halloween

With Wiccle 1.0 released and some of the Wiccle-based custom websites we've been working on completed, iWiccle CMS Community Builderit's time to turn the developer attention back to iWiccle, our free open-source CMS and community management solution, now approaching version 1.20 — which will be the biggest upgrade to date.

Along with a matured core, Wiccle 1.0 will contribute to iWiccle 1.20 the following features: all new builder features, many new admin features, many general improvements, extended member and profile features, one extra module atop the existing, and much more.

The exact date of release will depend on the amount of custom work and support following the release of Wiccle 1.0, but let's put this on the table: iWiccle 1.20 will be ready for download for Halloween (October 31st). And who knows, it might be ready a bit ahead of time!

Next Generation Wiccle.com

October 12th will also see a complete upgrade of Wiccle.com. The recreated Wiccle.com is built on the latest Wiccle technology, sporting an all-new brighter and better look, with navigation and site logic improvements, most of the content rebuilt and extended, dramatic improvements on eCommerce and community resources, new and rewarding ways to get involved, and much more!

The site will be in stand-by mode for 30 minutes as the new system is rolled in. A more detailed news bit on the Wiccle.com v2.0 will follow as we near the date of release. No action is necessary for site users: Fusion accounts and associated data will remain exactly as they are.
