The users of my site come from all over the globe - they cross many timezones as well as the international dateline. I'm guessing that this will apply to many iWiccle sites and users now and in the future. As such, the iWiccle method of reporting posts (ie Posted today at nn:nn time and Posted yesterday at nn:nn time) can be very confusing.

A feature I'd like to see (switchable via the Admin CP) is either:

Posted on day, date and time

             or

Posted nn hours ago (up to a maximum of 24 hours after which day, date and time is reported)

Additionally, it would be nice to have an option to display the current site day, date and time somewhere in the site header.

It simply makes for a friendlier user experience.

This clock would look nice beside the logo for everyone to see each page they turn to on wiccle!

this would be good to have for the profile time posted

This would be good for admin to see on each users profile

for users ip once posted something like this

You can already customize all timestamp formats for your content in your Admin CP at System > Date & Time.

For now, you can customize the site header for each module under Modules > Home (your default module) etc. It's easy enough to paste in a 3rd party javascript widget that shows you date & time there in the format you prefer. Laughing

ok maybe Im lost here but you know if I knew what you were talking about I would be putting up a youtube video to show how to do this 100% so everyone can see how to do it.

Is it possiable if you have some spare time on your hands that you can show us a video in slow motion so we will know how to add wigets and modules with full HD view on youtube ? Of course any time the sooner would be better. Wink

These are the timestamps that we use in the posts, photos etc. across the application. Wherever you see a timestamp in one of those formats, the format is controlled with these. I may still have a few odd timestamps somewhere that don't consider the time_cutoff setting, but this does control the bulk of all timestamps in the system. Just copy the current values somewhere safe, and start experimenting with PHP date() timestamps. Cool
