I have just completed coding in a new builder extension for columns to help group content units together: introducing column base wrappers and column headers!

If you feel your site is getting too "boxy", you can remove the individual boxes and instead group several individual units into columns with their own custom headers and base wrappers.

Feature will be available in the upcoming release. (The test example below, using the default Crystal skin, is obviously not the prettiest application of the concept.)

There is now also a custom CSS field for columns. Further, the custom CSS field can now be used to input CSS applied both outside and inside unit and column wrappers, which extends the possibilities of how you can fine-tune things considerably. Demos to follow after release.
