I went to your demo.wiccle.com to try out your Match Maker so I could get an idea of its functionality, as I am putting together a quote for a client for a dating service website and that seems like a core function.  But the demo isn't providing much info.  Can you say something about this feature?  Is it what you responded to me in my earlier questions about - allowing people to search by criteria entered into a questionair or in their profile?

Thanks

Yes, that's exactly what I referred to in the previous message.

If you log into the Admin CP and look under Users > Profile Builder, you'll see how easy it is to customize profile fields themselves.

Dating Profile Builder

Hooking these up with search and loading them together with the registration form is a non-issue. They are on my todo-list, and if you give me two three days heads up, I can add them in whenever and release upgrade files for that.

These searches can also be customized into whatever format and combination you want; it's also relatively easy to create new search forms, and even have them link to whatever data is there in the database.

There's tons of stuff like this we wanted to have already in the 1.00 release, but had to postpone due to shortage of time. At a quick count, I have 20-30 substantial new features lined up here, just waiting for the loose ends to be tied up.

Awesome.  I will let you know.  I am just putting a proposal to my client and will see if he wants to move forward.  I hope he does as I would like to get my hands on yoru product and start working with a real project with it.  thanks,

With that, please know that we are here and are committed to supporting our technology, including all necessary information you may need to customize a Wiccle Web Builder to your project specifications. The bottom line is we mean business every bit much as you do, and want to see an environment where you can count on that.

Tweaks like this are something we do on an ongoing basis to customer sites we work on (aside our main CMS development, we're building a showcase as well as financing ourselves for the time being), and as such expediting features like this is a routine task if/when someone needs them.

When looking at project costs, please also remember that a Wiccle Enterprise license gives you a license for 10 domains in completely independent installations, making your cost per site 99€ only, or the same as a single iWiccle lifetime license. (And you also get bundled customization service as a free add-on! A card you can pull when you bump into a wall and want something beyond your scope tweaked, for example.)

Thanks.  I get your comittment to support your community and developers and appreciate it and that was one of the factors that sold me on your product, that is, the commitment of service behind it.  If this one project goes through, my intent is actually to buy the Enterperise license and delve into your product as I know other clients of mine who might love many of the features you have built in.

Excellent. If you have feature requests or suggestions you think would help bring our software closer to what your potential clients and other users might find useful, please feel free to tag posts with requests for us to look at and put somewhere on our roadmap. There's also a blog coming up soon enough with an overview of some the main/major features we have lined up for the immediate future.

Hi Marcus,

Some of this is a repeat from what I have asked via email, but I am getting more into it and more questions are coming up and more need for clarity and support.

I was searching the forum looking for information that would help me understand in more details how to customize the member details/search functions as I am into configuring that right now for my site.  Funny I ended up on my own post from the past.  About that you wrote above:

Hooking these up with search and loading them together with the registration form is a non-issue. They are on my todo-list, and if you give me two three days heads up, I can add them in whenever and release upgrade files for that.

So now is the time.  I need help with this.  I would like to know how to customize the Membership form and make some of those fields searchable, ideally in a similar way that I think you have working for your Dating Match Maker function, ie, where I could have someone search for Members who:

  • live in City: __________
  • and who have the following bread of dog: __________

as an example.

And so many questions in trying to understand the Member details area and how to customize it.

1. On your default site, under Member/Settings/Basic Settings - If I open the Builder and look at the settings for box 2 where all of the details are entered, I see

  • Box Type: Form
  • Limit by: Add
  • Format: Area
  • Header: Custom Header / [[header_member_settings]]

I can't make sense of how to modify this page (ie to remove the birthday fields).

2. The next tab over on the site to Member/Settings/Profile Details seems to be created from the Member Basic Profile form accessed via Admin/Users/Profile Builder - but I can't understand how I can customize that either, or reproduce the logic behind it.

For example, in the description for Age it says: Display age? <!--parse:member_age-->

and in the Options it says: LIST:noyes_01, which is what it says for all of the Options on that form.

How does all that work please?

And then of course when can I have the functionality needed to customize the search fields per Member Profile entry forms created?

Thanks,
