Here are some iWiccle questions and answers on licenses and prices, administrator options, and site customization — from recent e-mails.

"How does this work?"

Thanks for asking --- the answer is "it works well", and it's also remarkably easy to use once you get the hang of it. If there's something in particular you need to know about using iWiccle, please feel free to ask.

"How much does this cost?"

We offer two kinds of lifetime licenses for iWiccle (which runs for 15 days on trial). iWiccle Free costs nothing; with iWiccle Free license, you need to keep the iWiccle banner intact at the footer. iWiccle Ads Free costs 99 euros, and the license allows you to remove all visible references to iWiccle and rebrand it as you like.

"If I buy it, do I own it or do I have to pay a monthly fee?"

If you buy an iWiccle lifetime license, there are no recurring costs after that. Future patches upgrades are free for the lifetime of the software.

"Is it free?  Why is it free?  Is there ads on it or something I need to be aware of?"

We offer a free version of iWiccle for a simple reason: We believe that empowering web publishing and website management software like ours should be accessible for all internet users regardless of their economic situation. The banner is there in the free version to give credit to us and to advance the spread of our software. If you want to fully rebrand your iWiccle, it means you are investing into your site (and possibly getting revenue as well), and then it's fair that we get a little compensation as well.

"Also, as owner or admin., do we have the function to delete people's posts, blogs, pictures, videos at will - sometimes they write inappropriate things."

As an administrator, you can edit and delete all content that is posted on the site at will. You can do it with the trash can icon included in each post's footer.

"Can I assign more than 1 admin?  Or choose a trustworthy member to become admins?"

Yes, you can create as many members you wish in as many membergroups as you wish. You can also create multiple admin-level membergroups. In future releases, you will also be able to customize separate admin control panels for lower and higher level administrators.

"The video and picture option, can I not allow people to post these?  Only reserve for myself.  Or allow them to post but I have ability to delete b/c they might violate copyrights, etc."

You can control content posting permissions in the Admin CP under "Users > Usergroups" on a per-usergroup basis. Simply remove other usergroups' posting rights from whichever modules you want to keep for administrator only.

"What about privacy for members?"

Privacy is such as vast word; we have of course covered our bases when it comes to members' data security. There are a number of privacy control extensions we are working on, much along the lines you see in Facebook for example. Is there something in particular you'd like to know about member privacy in the current versions of our software?

"Can you make a social blog with posts for a .mobi site? Do you plan to make one soon?"

While we don't officially provide mobile platform support at the moment, it's in our near-future roadmap, and from a number of angles. That said, our software seems to be working quite alright with smart phones.

"I think it needs to be more user friendly with tabs going vertically on left. Just plain blogging with no videos.  Just only pictures for id."

Alternative tab positions are upcoming as a click-to-change feature. They can already be customized easily enough by editing the template files.

If you want to have no videos and just blogs (or any other focus for your site), you can go to Modules > Menu Builder and choose what modules are listed in your main menu. You can also go to Modules > Configuration and deactivate modules you don't use.

Good luck for the project, and please don't hesitate to send in your feedback and inquiries anytime!
