Hi.

Firts of all, great job! I'm a teacher running a test with Wiccle and find it it has almost all things I'd like to offer to my students. But I need to translate it to Portuguese. There is any language pack? Or should I translate some files?

That is great to hear. :)

Currently there is no Portuguese language pack and yes you can translate the files. If you need help along the way, just mail me.

We will support language packs in the future and plan to have a few ready before Christmas.

Thanks for your kind words !

Hello Iggy!

Well-organized language packs you can translate will be available with iWiccle 1.10 on Monday. Some of the language is still a bit scattered around the system.

We don't have any Portuguese speakers onboard however, so for now, language packs aside the languages we know will be community-contributed. If anyone wants to translate a language pack and contribute it to the public, you will of course get full credit + linkback for it.

Following the release of iWiccle 1.10, language packs will start dropping in, one by one. We can handle Finnish, Swedish, Danish and Irish packs. My French is a bit on the rusty side. If someone really wants and needs, I might be able to put together Bengali and Hindi packs too. (And we have Sanskrit and Latin reserved for our Harry Potter edition.)

We'd like to also see at least French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish packs becoming available. With Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and other languages using a script I don't read, we'll need to find folks who can translate and work together as consultants to ensure the text isn't corrupted. That should make things universal enough.

Thanks a lot for your answer! It's really good to know there will be languages packsCool

But I know you are hands full at the moment, so I'd like to take a look at those files you will set up for next week - maybe I can handle a Portuguese version...

What should I do to get those files?

Regards,

Iggy

Hi Iggy,

There will be instructions along with the files =)

Keep an eye out on Monday for them

Oh, you can be sure I'll make a big post-it for this Wink

Just to mention: why there's a "subject" field in reply posts? Usually, reply posts automatically take the main post' subject as defaut; I think that's a bit confusing...

Regards,

Iggy

Yes I know, pardon my inattention to this. Feel free to leave it blank. iWiccle 1.10 will improve on the "reply" concept overall, both groups and mails --- we just didn't get some features quite as far as we had hoped for our first release.

Markus, I point this irrelevant slip exactly because I got a feeling Wiccle was fresh new in the open. I'm glad I've found it :)
