Not sure whether this is simple, complex or even achievable, but there's no harm in asking -

In Page Builder's Custom CSS box, is it possible to have it show all the default values applicable to the box? It would be a great starting point for us CSS novices to be able to simply change the default values to get our customizing right.

There are no default values as such. You can enter any CSS you can ever think up into the field. I'll look at doing something about this when I work on the WWB Basic Builder however.

The CSS entered in that field is applied to the outside container of the unit (namely $skin['column_unit_wrapper']). You can now see live examples and reference codes for possible CSS tweaks at our demo:

Off the top of my head, but it should help get you started and give you an idea or two to use. =)

Note that you won't be able to see all your Custom CSS in real time. You will need to open a second page to view them. (I keep one page with builder and one plain in any case whenever I'm working on a page --- less clutter that way.)

Live examples are even better! My creative side calls...

I've added some dynamic examples since you were into collapsible boxes. There's now also a snippet you can use if you want to make a box draggable.

I'll add some more whenever I get more thoughts on what might be of interest. Cool

This may not be as exciting after the CSS demo, but needs to be illustrated in either case. The 1.21 release has two new content boxes, Drop Left and Drop Right, new featured at the demo along with the rest:

Renamed the thread and moved it under Install & Modification, since this is by now very definitely getting to the outer space of modding things around...

WOW! That's some very cool stuff in the CSS Box Demo! Particularly love the draggable box - just got to figure out where I can use it Laughing!!

I had been meaning to mention that the new Drop Left and Drop Right boxes are a welcome addition Cool

Fun stuff, eh? Cool

If you wanted to create a really cool splash popup box for your front page, for example, you could make a draggable absolutely positioned unit (possibly collapsable) to raise some visitor eyebrows. (I will need to add a feature that uses cookies to remember splashes that have been clicked away, to display them only once per session, or only once ever.)

You can now also download a copy of the CSS demo page and import it into a new page in your own iWiccle using the builder, if you want to study the samples in more detail and start modifying them to see what you come up with. Just type in the URL you want it to be at (&show=your_css_page), click Start Builder, and select "Import".

Yea, and if anyone comes up with something real fun, please export and mail it over to me, and I'll add it to our demo with credits to you and linkback to your site. (If you allow sharing it, I'll add a downloadable copy there.)
