Love the teasers Markus - looks like some powerful stuff going into Wiccle 1.0. Is any of it going to trickle its way into iWiccle (like Audio and Video) and if so when? Gimme, gimme, gimme... Tongue out

Thanks for the post John :)

Video & Music modules in time will trickle its way down to iWiccle as they are part of the Community engagement of what iWiccle is designed for but I don't see this happening until the end of the year or early next year. We have many updates in the plans for iWiccle over the coming months and Wiccle needs to evolve further with future updates as both platforms find their feet.

The roadmap of updates will be announced post Wiccle v1.0 release and by the end of the month you will know what is coming down the line.

A great deal of core improvements for Wiccle, including almost all CMS and Builder specific features, will be included in the next major release of iWiccle, which will be version 1.20. (We may or may not release a 1.12 in the interim, depending on incoming bug reports.) Some modules (notably Articles/News, Groups) will receive substantial upgrades that really put them on the map with the rest of comparable solutions.

Keith will fill you in on the release dates when he gets around to it --- lots of work with his new office and the wheels of the Wiccle marketing machine gearing up and all... He's the main man responsible for letting cats out of the bags with anything Wiccle!  Cool

Making it so you can embed videos or audio from other websites would work just fine.

You can actually already do it. Just use the HTML button and paste in the Youtube etc. snippet for your media. (Embedding will be easier in v1.20.)

I understand, but what I'm talking about in addition to iWiccle, add a Video section in the navigational area and on that page a person can either search for videos that others have posted by keywords and/or be able to embed videos. Think of it much in the same way as Myspace that has a video section and except for people being able to upload videos from there computer, they would only be allowed to embed videos from other video sites.

And a video module you shall have in iWiccle... Two modes: 1. Embed, 2. Upload and play w/ WMP player. The third one, Youtube style FLV conversion, is Wiccle only and VPS required. =)
