Keith and/or Markus,

I'm at a point where I feel that iWiccle is a keeper and a good investment for my site. If I purchase the 'paid' version of iWiccle:

  1. Which references to Bridge Media, Wiccle and/or iWiccle am I obliged to keep and which can I remove (from displaying on my site)?
  2. I understand that the licence purchase is for 'lifetime usage', however I'm not totally clear on the following:
    1. What if I change my site name, URL, host, etc - is my licence transferrable? Will it cost me?
    2. Will all updates/upgrades/new modules etc be free? If not, what is your policy on these items?
  3. I get the impression that Wiccle (as opposed to iWiccle) will be 'bigger and better' - is there a policy/facility/cost to switch over?

In short guys - what do I get, don't get and/or miss if I purchase the paid version now (I can accept that you may not have all policies and costs in place at this time - I really want to know that your loyal early users will not be 'hurt' for being loyal early users Cry)?

Thanks for an exciting product (from Bridge Media) and excellent support (and attitude) from Markus!

PS. Not looking for anything free or undue commitments - just an "I won't screw you if you don't screw me" attitude (it's an Aussie thing!).

Thanks,  john

Hi John,

Good points, I will need to update the website to make sure we have these covered. :)

Question #1: You can remove all references to Bridge Media, Wiccle / iWiccle. The Ads footer is removed automaticly when you put in the new paid licence key in your Admin panel.

Question #2: The Licence works with only 1 domain name, you will need another Licence if you want two iWiccle programs working.

You can change your site name, URL & Host, the licence is transferrable to only youself (not to 3rd parties, i.e. selling the licence onto someone else), there is no extra cost involved, no hidden costs.

As for Part #2, updates to iWiccle is Free, new iWiccle Modules from us are free (not Wiccle Modules - different program), Upgrading Commercial iWiccle to Wiccle, yes there will be a discount involved but that is not set yet until near the release of Wiccle.

Question #3: Wiccle v1.0 will be better & bigger than iWiccle but that by no means that will not give our best to iWiccle, which over the last two months you can see we have spent our time only on iWiccle. Wiccle details will be announced soon, we just need to get back into completing the program first so we can plan out the final deadline and make the announcements after that.

There will be an upgrade script from iWiccle Commerical / Ads-Free to Wiccle and a discount plus many other goodies. I will announce further information when we are ready and Wiccle is back in full development.

Wiccle is commerical, designed for new online businesses / start-ups / web design companies / small to medium companies. The price is much higher than the paid iWiccle but it packs a bunch of good modules & terms with it. Most commerical CMS systems can cost an arm and a leg but we will be price competitive with features / terms.

You can take a guess John that Wiccle will be in line with prices with a certain other CMS program you might know of ;-) You now have a good idea of what Wiccle will cost but we are adding terms / policy with Wiccle which will give it that extra advantage. Remember Wiccle will have pretty much most things the "other" competitor has, so where iWiccle has fallen short in certain features / functions, Wiccle makes up for it.

Keep note that this is only version 1.0 of Wiccle and we are barely out of the woods yet with iWiccle, in the coming months there is a massive list of features / functions to go into both programs. Some things you will find in Wiccle will make their way down to iWiccle over the course of the next 12 months, but not all. iWiccle will get new features that Wiccle does not need and Wiccle will increase with features tailor made to it's market. The more customers we have for Wiccle, the more we can do for iWiccle. =)

We have got a long road to go yet, the changes that will happen over the coming 12 months will not compare to anything else you have been used to in the past. We want to expand, we want to build alot more into the two platforms and we will reach a certain point within the next 12 months where we have pretty much every feature out there across all CMS platforms, then the Wiccle / iWiccle platforms will get a whole range of new features that have not been invented yet (as what happens with tech leaders).

As for loyal early users, I hope we have been doing our jobs well for you and to all the other members heres. We will keep doing our best here and helping our members / customers. Lets not forget from time to time, we help others out in other CMS programs as might know too! =)

Please note an iWiccle paid customer also gets 30 days direct support from us. This means help / how to do something / quick fixes, not creating a web-site ! ;-)

Also when the Forums get the final make-over at the time Wiccle is released, there will be a Private Forums section, only for paid members of iWiccle / Wiccle. The private forums help a whole range of good stuff that will be announced in detail soon.

Please remember while other CMS systems link their Ads footer to their server, which means if their server ever goes down, the Ads appear in paid customer websites. iWiccle / Wiccle does not follow this route, if our servers go down, you still do not get Ads. If god forbids, if we don't get enough support / sales to continue, the Licences will never be affected, they will always remain, even if we are not here but I sure hope we will be for a very long time ! =)

I hope this answers the questions you have, any more just shoot them through here. Thanks !

Thank you for the interest, John! And Keith, for the long reply. Laughing Lifetime license means all iWiccle updates until iWiccle 10.6 and beyond are free, and come with an upgrade path.

A note on support: iWiccle Ads Free license comes bundled with 30 days of support, support meaning we are around to also to help you over direct private channels (support tickets or e-mail) if you need advice on how to employ iWiccle features, or modify and extend your site. (And of course we give general priority to paid customer posts in the forums, though we obviously try to cover most everything.)

It doesn't include hands-on coding or custom modifications, but covers enough to make sure you get your iWiccle up and running well! Over and beyond the 30 days free support, if something breaks due to a clear software defect, we will of course have to be around to get that fixed for you. There will be separate extended support plans announced in the future, should anyone want to use the "gold channel" in the future. Cool

So yes, we do realize we are making a commitment with the product we have released, and have every intention and plan to follow through and see that both you and we stay in business, we with our products, and you with your sites.

Welcome back Technoman! To explore the differences between iWiccle and Wiccle, please start from the Overview page. The comparison chart should be helpful for a starter.
