Reporting bugs: How to do it efficiently. Please follow these guidelines when reporting a bug in the forums. It'll let us handle bug reports and fix bugs efficiently, leaving time for dev work proper.

  1. Name the thread descriptively and with a prefix: "Bug: Image uploading fails"
  2. Provide an URL (just make sure the query string is right) that shows the exact page on which the error occurs.
  3. Explain precisely what you do right before the problem occurs, step by step.
  4. Attach a screenshot / screenshots if possible.

We need to first of all be able to duplicate the bugs you report. For that, the above is necessary. If we can't replicate the bug in our test environments, I will need access to the server on which the bug occurs --- first of all to discover what causes it and why, and second to find and test a solution in the actual bug environment. (If I can't duplicate it, I have no guarantees the attempted fix will work for you.)


Please do not post any login details into the forums, ever. If necessary, send them by e-mail to markus -a- wiccle.com. If your problem is related with a security issue, do not post the full example URL into the open --- just include the part following your domain.

I also want to emphasize that repeated reinstalls will not fix most bugs. It's not a Windows! Tongue out

I tried to add a remote hosted widget that didnt work, after deleting this i get these two errors as shown on the screenshot

Please bare with us for the next few days as we prepare version 1.10 for release which will fix most problems like this above. Also Markus will be back to tech support by Thursday.

Your script seems to be very nice sort of a cross between Elgg and Boonex Dolphin as i have both of these also running now, Dolphin had security problems and my host disabled many of the features and elgg is busy with nonsense mods.

Over the past year I have signed up with almost every social network to review features and have talked to many users to find out what they like and dont like, now i have a list of the best of all of them that I will work on after your release of 1.10.

Thanks for providing such a great program.
